Engineering
Machined like the group size depends on it.
Because it does. Every K-series chassis starts as a 27 lb billet of certified 6061-T6 and leaves as a 4 lb datum surface for your action.
Billet, not extrusion
Datum surfaces held to ±0.001″ across the run - chassis #0001 and #4870 interchange parts without a file in sight.
Bedding without compound
Full-length V-block interface seats the action on two machined lines. Torque to 55 in-lb, done - teardown and re-zero shift averages 0.1 MOA.
A forend that doesn't flex
Free-float to the muzzle with 0.004″ tip deflection under a 25 lb bipod preload. Your zero doesn't care how hard you load the barricade.

- CTR factory bottom metal is deleted; chassis magwell accepts AICS mags directly.
- Howa Mini uses a dedicated K1 inlet and ships with a proprietary mag catch.
- B-14 follows the R700 SA footprint - verify lug spacing on pre-2019 receivers.
- Savage small-shank barrel nut requires the included clearance kit; large shank not supported.
